I put down 10th but could quite happily go with the 9th instead.

Same size as an ME Super?

Manual only?

It's already here and called a Leica M8 (although Epson beat them to the punch with the Cosina-built RD-1). The problem is that it's a niche market so you end up paying a lot more money for a lot fewer features - economies of scale and all that...

I'd quite like one, but even if Pentax ever made it I doubt I'd be able to afford it.

Hi Ryan, I have both the M50/1.7 and the FA43 and I find the M50 rarely gets used - it's a great lens but the FA43 just has a certain "magical" quality and is my most used lens by far. If you can get one for a good price then it works very well on film and digital

The Pentax P-TTL system has a tendancy to under-expose in order to retain highlights. I use a Pentax AF360FGZ flash and my results are fairly constant at around 1EV under using P-TTL. As P-TTL is controlled by the camera rather than the flash gun I doubt you'd notice much difference whichever gun you use, however, technique makes a big difference as the P-TTL system is easily thrown when confronted with reflective surfaces.

If you have a flash with an "Auto" mode (like the genuine Pentax ones) then many find this gives better (more consistent) results.

I'd agree with RaV - the only place I've seen new K100D's lately is on eBay, and they're getting thin on the ground.

As the crow flies Germany and Norway are probably closer to Aberdeen than SE England, but welcome from down here too.

I quite like the overall tone - gives them quite a brooding feel. In terms of composition I think it's numbers 8 and 9 for me; in number 8 I like the way the trees seem to be bending away from the bright light in the sky as if trying to escape, in number 9 the trees remind me of highwaymen about to rob that train. The other seven are technically OK but don't capture my imagination in quite the same way...

And always good to see a selection of square crops - reminds me of Rolleis and I like Rolleis! Must get some film for mine now the weather's starting to brighten up a bit.

It's Zenit E (no "h") and by coincidence I have a near mint example complete with a Helios 44-2 lens going on eBay later this evening - just in case anyone fancies a bid and a trip down memory lane...
