Hi Ryan, I have both the M50/1.7 and the FA43 and I find the M50 rarely gets used - it's a great lens but the FA43 just has a certain "magical" quality and is my most used lens by far. If you can get one for a good price then it works very well on film and digital

Have been taking pictures with my good old ME-super and K1000 up until just recently.
Finally decided to go digital and found and bought the K10D at a good price and I am really exited about it so far.
I am thinking about replacing my M 50 f1.7, which I have been very happy with for the FA 43mm, ltd. which can purchase at a good price, secondhand. Will this be an upgrade worth the money, in your opinion? I´m thinking I could use the M 50mm for makro?
