There are other more subtle advantages also such as being able to remove/replace the focusing screen for a custom item (massive improvement to camera when using manual focus lenses) ...the K10 is much easier to hold and can take a grip which even greater improvement to ergonomics especially with large lenses.
Sorry but the K200D uses the same focussing screen, and it's just as easy to remove. Also the DBG3 battery is just for the K200 and extends shooting life tremendously.

I had the same dilema and went for the K200, the cash back deal made and still makes a big difference

Forgot to mention, as a new user the K10d could be a bit daunting, the K200d is aimed at just this level.

thats me got some reading material for a bit now.

well pleased with it, nice solid feeling camera.
You read the manual?

I just get stuck in and set the camera up as I like it then snap away, I tend to use the manual for reference only

Mind I read the online version well in advance of buying a new camera.

K200D at PC world is the same price, but the display model has a Mk11 lens fitted.

SRS are still the best bet at the moment

After the last upgrade on my K110 I removed the card and formated it for use.

It was only two days later, and some miles from home that I found I hadn't replaced it in the camera.

So many lost shots because the camera didn't tell me it had no card!

Come on Pentax, a little icon to let us know the card is missing/ door is open would make life easier for us forgetfull users.

Mobile phones have a place in modern society, as far as I'm concerned it's as far away from me as possible.
I use one at work and hate calls when I'm in traffic/ talking to customers/breathing!

I use a small sony camera on aircraft and never thought I'd get away with my DSLR, well done Terry, great shots

Terry,

What a great tribute to the often maligned MK1 KIT lens!

Well done!
I use my 18/55 an awful lot and love the fact that it betters any other 'kit' lens out there.

After all, when you buy a camera it should do what Terry's did straight out of the box,

and my vote is pic 2 as well.

If you really want to appear mad, wear your underpants on you head, push a pencil in each nostril and answer all questions with "Wibble"

It works for me!

Oh yes! welcome Rataegeoff.

soap in the Brillo pads leaves a residue that gives a pink cast to my pictures.
That explains the strange colours I get!

Maybe next time I should use the steam cleaner at work!

Strange that it's taking upto a month this time.

Last cash back was when I bought my K200d and the cheque arrived in less than two weeks!

Maybe more people are taking advantage and moving to the best cameras available!

I use a Lens Pen to clean the sensor on my K110 with no problems.

As beakynet advises activating the sensor shake option works on my K200, I would think that holding the body of your K10 flat, sensor down, and 'shaking' the sensor should work.

Failing that there's always hot water and a Brillo pad!!!
