But I would add a strong plus for Pentax is the weather and dust resistance

Not all Gary, 4/3 users have had the excellent Zuiko 7-14mm f/4 for a few years, I picked one up recently Not looking to get into an issue but if smaller better is the way as 35mm to 16mm, a DMF does not light my candle, regardless of make. At the moment, my FF DSLR rocks, along with it's lenses. One example is that I can shoot a true 14mm lens while others wait for the Sigma 8-16mm.
I have to agree with you though it is fun shooting that wide
