Coward putting them there
They are lovely - beautiful shots of scenery - even the B&W ones .
The only one i"m not so keen on is #9 - I think it's the colour of the grasses there - too orangey and detracting from the stones in the wall etc

Ten is my pick, on account of the way the foreground rocks lead the eye straight up the spur on the range in the background.
No 2 is a little soft when you view it full-size?
No 7 has potential as a punchy BW conversion perhaps - or, this colour version with more muted yellows?
They look like quite photogenic places, those hills, and that's perhaps no surprise given where they are.

Don't stop posting them here Andrew! I for one wouldn't want you to stop posting images just because we (me included :twisted critiqued the misty morning shots! And there's a lot of clicking to do on Photobucket, plus those nasty flashing adverts
Some nice landscapes there, good foreground interest, and you've clearly paid attention to the composition and framing.
Like iBerg I also like number 10. You should have entered it for the faces competition!

Thanks for your comments everyone. Glad you like some of them. It was a tricky day for photography with a lots of waiting about for the "right" light which you really need up there. Rewarding when you get it, though.
i-Berg, Not sure why no.2 looks soft, it got the same treatment as the others. The hills are photogenic particulary as they have good shape for their relatively modest height and often interesting foreground like crumbling wall, barbed wire fences, rocks or tumbledown cottages. Much easier to shoot than Dartmoor or Exmoor for example.
Tim it is a pain having to go through Photobucket, I know. I don't like doing it myself, particularly with my ancient lap-top and arthritic inter-net connection. Thanks for persevering.
Techno, the colour is a bit bright, I think it may be due to the levels adjustment I had to make, although the grasses are virtually that colour at this time of year.

bah, that FB plugin at the bottom crashed firefox twice, grrr...
Loverly atmospheric colours, not so keen on the B&W versions - and I normally like B&W - but here the colours seem to work better, maybe because I remember so well the sun sweeping across the hills in sudden glorious bursts and waves...before it started raining again!

Ah flossie, the rain... my son says it wouldn't be Wales without it! (He can't rememebr a year when we haven't been.) I'm not so sure!
Glad you like the colour ones. I always think BW suits the stark hills of Wales so well and often see shots in mono.

I see the king of the rust objects is still on top form, it's strange how a rust piece of metal belted into a bit of slate/granite can look so good in isolation, nice one. I quite like the tree & mountain shot no. 4 with the tree leaning to the left and the mountain balancing it out to the right & No 10 a very atmospheric image.

Graham...there's quite a few rusty old bits and pieces from the trip on my hard drive. I visited an abandoned slate quarry... one that had been abandoned in a hurry. Yum Yum!

Bearing in mind that you probably did not enjoy my comments on your previous set I hope you don't mind me posting a comment here.
I really like this set, especially the mono shots, the leaning tree one has excellent composition and the sky is very dramatic. I also really like the last mono one with the foreground stones and the second colour picture as I just like derelict buildings! The whole set is very good, with the only one I don't particularly like being the last colour shot in the set as I don't feel the wall has enough interest by itself in spite of leading very nicely into the scene.
I hope you took my previous comments in the spirit in which they were meant, and did not take any of my comments personally. I also hope you will post your next set on the forum so we don't have to open up a link.
