fortunately for you there are people here much smarter than me...best I can offer is "Get a Mac"... my usual advice whenever "Buy Pentax" doesn't solve the problem.... once you use up those two answers we're down to "Got some scotch?"

my nas drives spin down and go into a sleep mode, when not being accessed.
so the computer, basically needs to say hello to the drive, wake up the drive, wait for the drive to spin up to speed, then read or write to the drive. Doesn't take thirty seconds, more like five or ten.
my nas drives are used for storrage, and back up files, not working files for that reason....

I suppose if you had a dedicated server and a fast network, you could speed things up.....

Gerri wants to know if you guys got braille nudie mags, how come they don't make "Pop-up" nudie mags for women?

Sunny 16 is a great starting point for moonshots and yours are proof of that....the only little detial to explore next, is perception...
people expect the moon to be this glowing white lightsource in the night sky.

somewhere between the reality of rock and craters in your capture, and the blinding white disc people expect, there is a happy medium...

opening up one to two stops over the correct (sunny sixteen) exposure will balance, reality and perceptions and in the process exceed expectations...

yes it will fit most portable flash units except for minolta mount and the new nikon sb900.
anything pentax, sunpak or vivitar is ok.

hefty1...don't those come with the 360 flash unit? or did I get mine with my canon flashes? I don't remember...

how big a stand r u lookin for? light stand?, table top? or just a shoe stand?

I love improvised gear... sometimes I make stuff I don't even need or already have...
I got some paper chinese lanterns affixed to high powered flashlights (torches) I use for video.
I like to laugh also.
I have a "Deadcat" aka wind muff for my video mic, that always gets the kids to smile...


some people have a hard time taking me seriously...till they see the results!
