Tidy Pentax SV, sometimes the second curtain stops just short of where it should.
Needs someone who can fix it or could be used for spares. Wife has been on the warpath so it needs to go to a new home. I'm located near Newbury or can post.

If you want it I can do some photos before you commit. Postage at your expense or collection welcome. Small donation to Bob's beer fund would also be welcome but not as important as finding a good home!😋

Two spotmatic each with different problems.
No1- problem with silvering damage to edges of mirror. Slight dent on pentaprism but otherwise runs fine and tidy.
No2- problem with pentaprism silvering, otherwise runs fine, tidy.

Together they should make a good spotty or would provide spares. I will do photos if anyone's interested.

Looking for a small donation to the beer fund plus postage, if you can't pick up from near Newbury.

I have the 18-135 and the 16-85. I like both!

The 18-135 is compact, light and gives a very good range. The 16-85 is a better lens but it is bigger, heavier and does not have the higher end range. Most of my photography is landscape and the 18-135 does this well, especially when you only want to take one lens, climbing a mountain or no room for lots of kit. It likes the light and if it is reasonably bright (i guess when its stopped down a bit) it gives good results.
The 16-85 is sharper and is very resistant to flare. It is a fair bit bigger and heavier but if i'm doing photography, rather than just taking the camera, I will chose this one but will need to think about taking another lens as well, if I may want a bit more reach.
It's the old problem. Do I need the best quality or do I need to have it ready to get that picture. The best camera/lens is the one you have with you when the picture presents itself!
I have shots with both these lenses in my gallery, feel free to have a look.

I thought I would sell the 18-135 when I got the 16-85 but it hasn't happened yet and i don't think it will. Best thing to do is just buy both!

Might be the tripod is not keeping the camera/lens still enough.

For this one I used a large concrete mixer with a bean bag, very solid! Of course I used the self timer as well.
I think it was with the DA300 on a K10. The exif says it was iso400, F5 at 1/400.

That's quite a collection.

My small collection is definitely missing quite a few and I have managed to stop myself starting on the medium format/110 cameras, so far. Mind you I have succumbed to a few more of the m42's and the big problem with the LX is it has lots of bits to go with it,. Finders, drives, screens, backs etc...,

Do you think the wife will see it as valid retirement plan?
