I use a holster type CCS bag for my camera, when out in the mountains. Usually attached to my rucksack hip belt. The CCS cases support the camera by the front of the body with the lens down. The lens is not supporting the camera.

I have used one of these bags for my Super A, K10 and K5 over many years and many mountains both uk and abroad with no problems. All three cameras are still fully working and never had any damage to any lens despite thumping up and down the hills. Only wish my knees were as well protected!

My K10 has always made a thump when shook. It also makes a similar noise when the startup clean is set.

I bought it new and it got a lot of use until I bought the k5. Don't worry, mine has had a lot of rough handling on days in the mountains but has never missed a beat.😁

What's it going to cost to find out? Not film, nor processing. Nothing to lose in giving it a go.
About 2p a month charging the batteries!

Photography is all about the picture, not the camera. Look through the viewfinder and press the shutter release when you like what you see. Look at what you took on the computer, if you like it, good. If you don't, try to think why and then you can improve. Then you upload some on here and see what other people think.
I really started on photography with an Kodak Instamatic, used to process the film myself. the kit you have is loads better than that and you don't have to worry about the cost of film, processing etc. You can even download free software (FastStone Image Viewer is nice and straightforward) to improve your images on the computer for nothing! Personally I don't print many of mine, may put them up on the big telly sometimes and the quality of the kit you have will be no problem for doing that.

Worthy pursuit? I think only you can really judge that but it won't cost anything to try and there are a few around here that think so.

Like the swordfish best, the lack of sky detail makes it look like it was taken with old film.

Personally, I have always used Jon Goodman kits and have found they work really well.
The kits are very well thought out, you get everything pre-cut and there are different thicknesses and density foams for different places. You also get anything else that is needed, instruction & after sales service.
He is in USA but the kits come letter post and don't take long to arrive. Email him, [email protected] i believe.

Love these! Fantastic idea.

Number 3 and 7 my favorites. Somehow the clouds fit the tents better.
