Just lovely pictures and you can always take it with you, it's so small.

(Don't tend to use burst fire mode on these subjects much anyway)

My 50-135 has a failed SDM motor but I still haven't got around to getting it fixed. It is so good a lens that manual focus is a small price to pay for the quality of image it makes possible. It is large and heavy though, f2.8 usually is.
The 55-300 on the other hand, is compact, for the range it gives you. For the price it gives very good value.
The best choice is buy both or carefully decide. They are two different lenses in the end, one high quality, heavy but more limited range. The other lighter, long range but of a lower quality. You pays your money and takes your choice.

I think you will need a 12v battery I'm afraid. 10 x nicads or the like would do the trick.

Using the screen occasionally in live view is ok but using the viewfinder is so much better. I seem to be involved with the image somehow when using the viewfinder. Just not the same looking at the screen.
It also doesn't help that I need the glasses on for close viewing the screen but the viewfinder adjusts for my eyesight.
I have a Q, and I found that difficult. I ended up buying a clip-on finder for one of the old 35mm rangefinder cameras. Not the complete answer as it will only work with some lens focal lengths. The Pentax one was too expensive for me.

I love the reflection in 1.
The restrained owl leaves me with lots of questions! Obviously the women on the right has a few as well.
Hope you get the computer sorted soon, I'd like to see more.

I also have the DA200. This one is full AF and has never had any problem with the SDM. Definitely one of Pentax's best lenses, touched by the angels!

Had the Super A from new, back in the 80's. Still working fine. The Program A was a later addition to the collection.

Never missed a beat yet!
Only problem I have had is I lost the lens cap near the top of Schiehallion, just in case anyone found it.
