Perhaps they were reproducing a view they had seen before? Derwent water with nice sky and fence going into the water?
I think I have seen that quite a few times!

Originality is much more difficult to do. Your originality and skill is well known here, that's why you got your ducks to pose for you by that rock. That's why you took an original view, even when you were within a few metres of them!

Nice shot by the way.

Just went for a look, not logged in for a while.

Thought I'd upload a picture and it all worked ok. I also use Firefox and have not had any warnings.

Hi Vic
I had forgotten about this! I don't think I had any takers but I'll have to check.
I'll get back to you tomorrow.

It's my 'go to' travel lens as well. It's light, with fast & accurate focussing and produces very sharp images for a lens at it's price point. The only downside - a little CA around the edges, but it's easily cleaned up (very easily in Lightroom!). It's also WR, which can be a bonus.

I'd definately recommend it.

I agree with all of this, it also has the silent DC focus motor that seem to just work properly! Mine has spent a lot of time bouncing around on my rucksack hip belt and has never missed a beat.
The 16-85 is a better lens but much bigger/heavier. The 18-135 is perfect when you don't want the weight and a long reach.

I would go for class 10 and I wouldn't bother going bigger than 8g, 4 g if you can get them! The file sizes on the k10 are not that big and you'll probably find a couple of these will be plenty for now. If you have too big a card it tempts you to not download your pictures often to a safer medium, and you can lose a lot if your 16/32 gig card does go west!

7Dayshop have Lexar premium class 10 8g for £7.39 each at the moment. link You could use a micro sd, with a SD adapter. This can work cheaper as they sell more micros. link

I'm sure there will be some who disagree but I have always looked at the stated speeds rather than the brand name when I buy SD cards and I have not been disappointed. I have had occasional problems, both with big brands and cheaper brands but on the whole I think I have saved myself lots of money by buying cheaper brands.
I do think it is worth buying from regular suppliers though, usually 7dayshop. They are easy to deal with and do sell cheaper brands but I trust them not to flog me counterfeit stuff, like some far east suppliers might!

SD card reader, built in on the laptop.

Just seems easier, somehow.

Lovely camera, definitely worth getting serviced. Definitely worth reaching to the film!

The problem with the LX is the host of extra bits you might need now. Finders, screens, winders, flash stuff not to mention all the lovely compact manual focus lenses.
Loads more options than with other Pentax's.

Nice.

I have always thought this lens is a bit of a sleeper in quality terms. They are also quite compact and a built in lens hood.
You can pick them up fairly cheap too.
