My DFA 100mm is one of my favourites, not just for its macro use. It is a wonderful performer for all sort of things. Portraits, candid shots, landscapes you name it!

Pentax did us all a favour not designating it a Ltd lens, if it had been I probably wouldn't have been able to afford it!

Like Matt, I like to buy old Pentax filters and other bits(when not at silly prices)for my 'collection', but I'm not so devoted with accessories for the digital camera.

I only have one genuine pentax battery, it came with the camera. The other two I have work just as well as the pentax branded one. I'm afraid I see it as a brand rip off to charge me £50 for a battery that I can get for £4.24p, delivered.

Loyalty is a two way thing if it is to last. Whilst repeat sales are good for a company, customers can hardly be blamed for going elsewhere when they are being charged over 10 times the price for the branded item.

Very interesting set of pictures.

I've just been searching for some of this welding glass and found you can get it in various densities. Do you know what density your glass is?

I also noticed that flip up goggles are available, with round lenses. Most of these seem to be polycarbonate rather than glass. Has anyone tried these?

To all those who bother to say nice things about any of my pictures, thank you! It is appreciated.

To anyone who offers me advice and criticism, thank you! It is also appreciated.

Sometimes I see an image on here that makes me think, 'Wow' and I say so. I hope the recipient appreciates my reply because It's their work that has caused my response. If they find my reaction banal I'm sorry but it is the reaction they caused in me. If someone else feels upset with my reaction I'm also sorry you feel that way but you have no right to feel upset about my feelings for someone else's work. You can put your own views forward if you like.

If my Super A has a plastic top plate it must have brass under the plastic as I have brassing on the top of the prism!

My Super A has been up many mountains, travelled to many countries over the years. Still going fine.

Me too.

Haven't had a reply to PM for more info on the unlisted bits yet.

I have voted yes. The K5 purchase is going to happen soon.

If Pentax were to stop tomorrow, I would still be using my pentax kit for years to come. I am generally happy with my K10 at the moment but some of the features of the K5 do overcome some of the limitations on the K10. My investment in lenses will still take good pictures just the same, even if the k mount was discontinued. Perhaps I would be able to pick up a few bargains!

So long as they want to produce SLR cameras why not use the k mount? Why would Ricoh want to reinvent the wheel.
