At least you know where it came from now and it didn't drop out of somewhere else important!!

Brave man!

Sometimes the click's on lens aperture rings are provided by a ball bearing pushed by a spring. They may use the same arrangement to give the clicks to the focus mode switch.

Just a guess but it may work the same way and would have dislodged when the switch was removed.

[davem said] try for a ccs used holster[/quote]I use CCS gear myself, Don't think you can beat it. The design actually hold the camera better, all the others are just copies. Actually I have about 6 CCS holsters at the moment.

I have a spare Warthog if you are interested. Hardly used/ like new. Got it in a bundle with another one that I wanted last week. It is a duplicate of the one I am currently using with my K5, I don't need two of the same one. Drop me a PM if you are interested.

Of course the wind still causes a problem with any multiple shot combining technique, the leaves and flowers end up in different places!

I'd second a vote for the 16-45,

It's a big upgrade on the 18-55. Constant F4, Close focus , Much better IQ. The difference between 18mm and 16mm is very useful. You have other lenses to cover the 45-55mm area. One of the best value Pentax lenses. You would have to spend a lot more to better the 16-45.

Might be a bit more than £130 but should be less than the sigma 10-20.
