Hi Jacqui
It's a better lens than the zoom you missed!

For £5 it's a bargain. I wouldn't give mine away.

Look for the All Risks cover on you house insurance. Covers things taken out of the house.

I last looked at this about 4 years ago and the extra on the house insurance was around 10x less than stand alone insurance. There may be a requirement to name items over a certain value but it is usually still a lot cheaper on the house insurance.
As with all insurance, don't forget to check the small print, exclusions and conditions though. Theft from parked cars are a favourite exclusion, for instance. Best to be aware of the cover details.

Has turned quite a lot hasn't it.

I'm no expert on luna movements so I guess it was just the time of night. I took it around 21.30 on Friday. As I said, total cloud last night.

Looks like a good day in the Ogwen Valley to me, looks dry!

First is my favourite as well.
All good but the NDgrad is not at all obvious. Mind you I love the texture of the big rock in number 2.

I noticed some light coloured bits up hill from the far end of Ogwen, above Glan Dena. Do you know what they are? I walked past that point 2/3 weeks ago, coming down from Ffynnon Lloer and don't remember seeing them then.

As already said, the tripod really is best. After that pushing up the ISO to get the shutter and aperture value up. Next thing is to use flash but to be honest taking the tripod is easier than setting up an off camera flash arrangement.

I have a walking pole that I adapted with a 1/4' bolt sticking up out of the top of the handle. Gives me a monopod but also a walking stick. It is a pain to screw the camera on so I got a small plastic V thingy from 7dayshop and you can quickly drop the lens into the V for support. Thing is a monopod only supports in one dimension and you can still find the camera waving around in the other two!

Tripod really is the best.

Free to a good home.

To be honest this was part of a bag full of items I purchased recently and I have no need of it. Rather give it to someone who will use it. Condition is good, glass all clear and everything moves nicely as it should. It does not have an 'A' on the aperture ring.

I will expect you to pay for any postage but collection from near Newbury, Berkshire free.

Trouble is, it won't be dark at 8:35!

I noticed it was bit big last night, now I know why.
