That's very wobbly looking track Dr Mhuni. I thought at first it must be a very long telephoto shot - the sort of thing you were looking for in the distorted perspective competition. You must have good verves to grab this one.

There, I've been saying this for ages. Tripods can be a nuisance.
I'm glad your K7 had a lucky escape.

I still see Beyond the Fringe rather than The Godfather. The guy sitting is Jonathon Miller, the student standing on the left is Peter Cook and Womble has got to be Dudley Moore.

What a super example of an early Womble photo. This little group looks like it could be an embryo Beyond the Fringe gathering.
Durham in the mid '80s? I was around the city even then.
Now I'm trying to work out which is the Godfather and who are the two heavies.

Andrew, Yes they are good. I like the texture in the old cases, especially in 1+4. The detail is great. I like No. 4 best with the old key on a string and the lock. The composition in this one works best for me.

Got mine almost three years ago. I can't remember what I paid then but it can't have been much more than half this price.

I'm know the K7 is a superb camera. But I'm with Beginner on this one. I still use two K10 bodies and although I don't have large hands like he does (for choppping down trees) they feel very comforatble in my hands. Incidently the K10 and K20 which Ken uses are the same size.
I'd rather spend my money on upgrading lenses despite the noise issue on my K10s, which isn't so bad.

A big Geordie welcome Jill. I was born in Newcastle and now live in Durham

Very impressive work in the book John. I like the presentation.
Coincidently we had a lecturer at Durham PS on Thursday night who has done several books of his work through Blurb and he set one or two of us thinking we might do likewise. I hadn't thought of doing a club book book though. Now I might bring this idea to the committee to follow your example.
ADAPS sounds similar to DPS - we have 96 members but we seem to sign new members every week so we will soon be over the 100. We finished last year on 106.
There are three Pentax User members in our society, DOIK (John Attle), bforbes (Barrie Forbes) and me, although there are several other Pentax users in the club.

I concede Serenity is not abstract. I should have called it surreal. But its certainly not just a record shot of what I saw. I changed the mood of the little piece of glass sculpture and worked to arrange the composition so the figure appears to be resting against a solid line as she is transposed into a dream world. Hence the framing that Mike didin't like. There now, artistic babble as opposed to some of the techo-babble we often get on this site
