Vic was a constant presence on the Pentax User Forum. I never met him but it felt as if I knew him. He will be missed.

Lovely work by both the photographer and mediaeval masons. Gloucester is a wonderful cathedral and you've done it proud here David.

The subject: A Merry Christmas.

I didn't put that cloud there, honest. Shot from at least 10 - 15 miles away using my DFA* 70-200 zoom at 200mm., Looking west over the Highland landscape of northern Scotland at the mountain Suilven,

Entries are coming in very slowly for our weekly competition on the theme of Heritage. Its a wide ranging topic which could appeal to most of the talented members of PUF. Among suggestions are local, national or international historic architecture, industrial structures, museum exhibits, lovingly restored machinery, steam railways, canals, people dressed up in historic costumes for the wide ranging choice of re-enactments etc. The only limit is how far your imagination takes you.
Remember if you win you get to choose next week topic - perhaps you own favourite subject.

Here's one I did just last Saturday: The former Northumberland Woodhorn Colliery, now a mining museum.

Deadline for entries: Midnight Sunday May 22

Each one of these is excellent Gareth. Like several of the other commentators my pick of the bunch is No. 1.

Lovely stuff: great use of light and colour.

Its years since I scrambled to the top of the Malverns, although I've beheld them from below and from a distance many times since. That's a lovely collection which brought back pleasing memories for me.
