There's been a change in the management at The Cathedral recently but I'm sure DOIK (John Attle) will keep us all posted if this photo opportunity comes up again.

I always knew you were an artist Emily, it shows in your photos but your calligraphy is superb. Your work will look just great on the website but I agree with MikeW, the writing needs to be very clearly defined. I don't know if its a matter of lighting or contrast but I accept the very nature of the delicate artwork rules out harsh contrast.

Fear not Martin, I shall enter, close focus on a DA*50-135, close crop and hand held with full throttle on the shake reduction..

Great stuff, a good example of keep it simple and keep it bold. Keen eyed photographers like yourself Paul can turn an every day scene into something very special. This oooks good with the mono treatment, I be it was also good with a deep blue sky and the colour of the teasels.

An amazing collection of quality shots Ralf. Don't apologise for showing them again, they are worth viewing repeatedly. The frozen harbour shot is out of this world.

Lovely set of shots Andrew. Yes some work work well in black and white but its still nice to see a well cleaned green loco with polished brass and copper in full colour.

It is about time David Trout bought a tripod

I love your work...just to think, all without a tripod

I've been away for a few days so I've just read all of this.
Tripod? I don't take photos with tripods, I prefer to use a camera. More crucial to Judith Anne's choice of a subject, I don't have a macro lens.
But I shall watch the progress of this competition with great interest.

Nice pics Kris. See Barrie's other posting on this same subject, a Pentax User meet could be part of the bigger event. Only a slect few get up into the Triforium Kris, its not for the general public or the faint hearted with no head for heights.
