Very nice John and I liked the black page photo book style so much I used it myself having looked at one of your earlier volumes.
My only comment is that I would spell out what ADAPS is somewhere more obvious than in the small print of the copyright page, perhaps on the front cover! I tend to do the same with WAS... the Welwyn Archaeological Society.

Its a very nice book and I like the black pages makes photos stand out. Do you find that many club members buy a copy and is it the winning images of the competitions?

We'll sell maybe 20 copies, maybe more this year as there are more photographers represented.
The images are submitted by the members and are just the ones they want to put in. They send me three images and I choose the two that fit the book best. Everybody gets two pages and as you can see at least one photographer opted for multiple images on one of them, which is fine.
It would be possible to make a book of competition winners, but too many people would be left out. This way, everyone gets something of their choice in.

Very impressive work in the book John. I like the presentation.
Coincidently we had a lecturer at Durham PS on Thursday night who has done several books of his work through Blurb and he set one or two of us thinking we might do likewise. I hadn't thought of doing a club book book though. Now I might bring this idea to the committee to follow your example.
ADAPS sounds similar to DPS - we have 96 members but we seem to sign new members every week so we will soon be over the 100. We finished last year on 106.
There are three Pentax User members in our society, DOIK (John Attle), bforbes (Barrie Forbes) and me, although there are several other Pentax users in the club.

The one photo book I have created used the same black background style that John chose and it did come out looking pretty good. I was impressed with Blurb, and the fact that people can order their copies direct so that the compiler/Society does not need to take any financial risk (or the hassle of taking orders) makes it an excellent choice for this sort of thing.
I wonder if a PUG yearbook would be a good idea... :

I think the book looks great, John. Very nice indeed.
Just one minor thing that struck my eye - is the heading on every page necessary? Having 'ADAPS Year Book 2010-2011' on every page doesn't really add anything that I can see, and I found it a slight visual distraction.
The only other thing that occurred is... 2010-2011?? We're hardly into 2010!
But I'm just being picky, really. Very nice. I have a book to make, and I'll certainly have a hard look at Blurb now.
