You clearly adored your dog Adrian and I send you my heartfelt condolonces. I don't quite know how I would feel if we were to lose our dog Daisy; all I can say is to remember the love she gave and use your beautiful photos to remind you of her.

Sincerely
David

Great images Alan, that lens will be one hell of a weapon in your hands.

I'm still reading this thread with interest and I've now come to the inevitable conclusion that I'm crap at processing images, regardless of the software used!

I forgot to mention, there are images on my gallery taken with all of these lenses. Please don't judge the quality of the lenses by the quality of the images as there is a dependency on a third party (me!).

Due to the purchase of another lens, I have to reluctantly sell some of my beautiful classic manual focus examples to fund the purchase. For sale here are the following lenses, all of which are in lovely condition with clean, clear optics, no fungus, no aperture issues and everything working as it should be (except of course for the SMC Tak Spare Parts!):

Pentax-M 50mm F1.4 £75 + RMSD - Beautifully constructed; this example in fine condition with nothing of any note to detract. Original front & rear caps, note the front cap has one of the springy bits missing, but still grips onto the lens no problem. Serial No 6019258.

Tele-Takumar M42 200mm F5.6 Pre-set £40 + RMSD - This is a relatively unusual lens that is not often found and less so in this condition. There are one or two very minor cosmetic marks on the edge of the filter ring, but otherwise this lens is in fantastic nick for one of this vintage. It looks as though it has been used very little. Comes complete with original case and rear cap, original metal hood, a Hoya 49mm Skylight filter, replacement front cap and a flush fitting Pentax Bayonet adaptor already fitted (spring clip removed) that fits tightly to any Pentax Bayonet body. Serial No 658602.

Tamron Adapt-a-matic 300mm F5.6, Model 670Au £50 + RMSD - A rare example of the Adapt-a-matic system that pre-dates the Adaptalls. Once again this is in great nick and comes with the original case and caps, original integral slide-out hood made from milled aluminium, a Hoya Skylight filter and a flush fitting Pentax Bayonet adaptor already fitted (spring clip removed) that fits tightly to any Pentax Bayonet body. Also comes with a Minolta SRT Mount. Serial No 209547.

SMC Takumar 200mm F4 Spares £7 + postage - A few bits and pieces for a SMC Takumar F4: Original Metal Hood (also fits Takumar 135mm F2.5), Original Case (less the strap), Original Rear Cap, a few bits and pieces from the body of the lens.

A previous post on this thread mentioned the rear LCD being 'quite small on a K-r'. However, unless I am mistaken I think it is exactly the same size / resolution as the one on the K-5? In this case it will be excellent for focussing with Live View.

I just mean I have the SR (shake reduction) turned on. As long as you remember to set the focal length when you change lenses it works very well.K.
Thanks Kris, I was being a bit thick.

I didn't think you were being rude Clare, don't worry. I wrote the comment because I thought that Will may have interpreted your post differently.

I use my Taks with Av mode and stabilised on my K20D... I'd be really happy if the metering with the K series lenses could be better.
Kris, could you please explain what you mean by 'stabilised'? I may be a bit thick here, please excuse my ignorance.
