I have for sale a K-5 Body only, in immaculate condition, surplus to my requirements as I also own a K-5iis and a K-3. There is no cosmetic damage of any kind as far as I can see, the camera has had a screen protector fitted from new and shutter count is just over 17,000. The camera has no box or instructions but will be supplied with a genuine battery, a genuine charger and I will throw in a free Tamrac Tek Digital DSLR Holster Case. This camera was formerly owned by one of the foremost photographers on this site (Shaun Wilson) and has taken a high proportion of the superb images Shaun posted on here whilst a Pentax User. I have tested it extensively and found none of the focussing issues that have been reported on some K-5's - this one focusses accurately on all lenses I tested it on. All functions operate as expected; the camera has been looked after extremely well.

The price is £300 plus postage of the buyer's choice at cost. Payment accepted by Paypal Gift or by Electronic Bank Transfer. Here are a few pictures of the camera:

Someone will bag a lovely camera here, if it doesn't sell on the Forum I will sell it elsewhere and already have some interest in it, but I wish to give the Forum members first go at buying it.

Love the colours and tight framing in this shot.

Good for me in principle too, subject to confirmation of the date nearer the time.

Excellent set, very difficult to pick a favourite, so I won't try!

Welcome to the Forum and the site in general. The Dragonfly in flight is a cracking image; I know how difficult it is to get shots like that!

These are hauntingly beautiful shots - it's the light that does it and of course the expertise of the photographer to compose and photograph it properly.

I can see we are in for a treat when you move back to the UK Dr.O!

As mentioned above, I like the conflicting angles in this composition and I think they improve the image rather than detract from it. Each to their own..........

It may be the poor monitor I'm using here at the moment, but I'm seeing some banding in the sky, and some blue interference? If it is there then a bit of NR should clear it out
I can't see any banding or blue interference on my monitor.

The firmware update on the K-3 is different to that on the K-5, but it is not complex at all. Simply copy the firmware file to the SD card (same as all other Pentax DSLR's) then switch the camera on and press the Menu button. In the menu there is a firmware option, select this and follow the instructions to complete the update.

This is a very simple process and is the same as that on the K-01; Pentax seem to have moved the firmware update into a menu option on their latest cameras which to me is a good move as it avoids having to remember to press the Menu button whilst turning the camera on. A menu option is much easier for everyone to understand.

You are right Alistair, we've been together now for 27 years and married for 25 of those, she is a gem.

I can't understand how he does - if I was out up the mountains as much as he is I'd have been left on my own years ago!
I'm as puzzled as you Nigel, although I'm not up in the hills as much as you would think, I just take a lot of photos when I'm there!

Sincere thanks to everyone who has taken the time and trouble to post comments on this set and every other set of images I have posted in the past year or so, the comments whether positive or not are a big driver for me to go out, shoot more images and improve.

Best wishes
David

A very nice set, the one where you got wet feet (3) is the stand-out for me. I would have liked a faster shutter speed on some of these to retain detail in the surging tide.
