The only way with a K-x is to open the 'Debug Menu', click on the link below and follow the instructions.

Welcome Percy, I've had a K-m, four K-x's, two K-5's, and currently have a WG-3, a K-01, and K-5IIs and a K-3. You might say I like Pentax!

You won't go wrong whichever body you choose, they are all very good.

I have to go against the flow here and say I love the third one. Yes it's surreal, but that's what makes it so good. The other three are all nice shots, but don't hit me in the eye like that third one does.

The best for this would not be IR Remotes but radio triggers set to the same frequency. IR remotes are not reliable enough and have to be used very close to the camera, whereas good radio triggers will work reliably at long distance, up to 100m away or even more. You would need one transmitter and multiple receivers, one for each slave camera.

What a fantastic set George, high quality indeed. I love the way you've treated the exposure with such care on these, beautifully saturated colours but not over the top in any way.

Brilliant stuff.

Thanks Ken, Alan, George, Andrew and Stuey for the comments, much appreciated.

I really enjoyed the day, I just wish it was a regular event in the UK!

Nice shots Mike, I particularly like the Grass Snake, it's just a pity there were leaves in the way on that shot. The only minor point In would make is that some of the images are just a tiny bit washed out and would benefit from half a stop less on the exposure, e.g. Blue Tit, Great Tit and the first Chaffinch.

These are great once again Carl, another very different perspective on the action. Funnily enough, I think the ones of the cyclists are less successful than the landscapes are! Same as Stuey, the last one for me is my favourite.

Interesting thread. I don't video much, but I have used the K-01 and the K-x. I've also tested video on the K-5IIs and quality is very good. My comments would be:

- K-01 is a decent video machine, but bitrates could be higher
- Always turn off the Movie Mode SR, it is pants
- For anything other than completely stable light conditions, on the K-01 make sure you fix the exposure, otherwise the image will keep going darker and lighter as the auto exposure tries to compensate
- K-x is a good little video machine, but only 1280*720 resolution
- K-5 series are the best for video in quality terms, not many options, but very good IQ

I would guess the K-7 is a tad behind the K-5's for video image quality, especially in dim light.

Hi Alan

The colour ones on this thread and on Flickr are great, well up to your usual standards! However, I really don't like the BW ones, either in the letterbox or standard format. I think John hit the nail on the head when he said they looked confused, they need the colour to bring order to the mass of stems, flower and seed heads and also to provide contrast with the sky.
