I've got an Asus NV56 with Ivybridge i7 processor, a fabulous full HD screen and the best audio I've ever heard from a laptop. It sounds much better than my Panasonic Digital radio

I don't think the toning helps either, but I would think that the second image would look stunning in full colour. The first is a bit off-focus.

Yes, you can zoom in with Pentax cameras that have focus peaking. Press the 'Info' button and the magnification increases.

Great lens if it's in good nick, one of the classics.

Very impressive for 7% of the frame Alan and a beautiful image too. This is where the K-3 pays dividends with quality glass.

There's no difference optically Nigel, they use the same glass, you are correct on all other points.
