havent posted in a while so here are more photos that people probably wont look at..

oh - that second one - I really like it, and as many folk know I'm not a B&W fan usually - but that corridor really intrigues me

Sounding a little cynical there QC ? Glad to take a look, I do try to see as many as possible, truth is there's not time to comment intelligently on every set on the forum at any one time - so often its restricted to that style or genre that personally appeals. I guess though this situation is common to most or all similar forums ...

I is my favourite, nice lighting and great texture and contrast on the building - well spotted and a lovely image - can it be straightened a tiny bit leftwards? And I'd give a small exposure reduction, no more than 0.5 stop.

2 works very well - love the deep dark floor disappearing to black in the foreground and it gives a very mysterious tone - beautifully framed also ... could you correct the vertical distortion, looks like the building is being stretched apart.

I'm afraid the mono church ones don't have any impact on me really - weird effects on the first, and the other is fairly dull IMO. Thanks for sharing an interesting set again!!

I have to go against the flow here and say I love the third one. Yes it's surreal, but that's what makes it so good. The other three are all nice shots, but don't hit me in the eye like that third one does.

can't correct lens distortion with manual lenses unfortunately

what pp software do you have QC?, Elements you can >image>transform >distort or Photoshop cs5 > Select all> Edit> Transform> Distort. there will be enough movement to straighten that little bit if you want to. the corridor is my favourite followed by the Church (3), i think the sky makes it work for me.

I like the second and last one but I wish you had dropped the camera height in the last one to give some separation between the leaves and the church roof

The second one for me, very nice black and white tones and a hint of potential menace.

#3 for me. Doesn't look realistic. But so what !!

No3 for me. Yes, a little surreal but I like it a lot! Framing of the trees is great but I think I might crop a thin strip off the bottom.

No1 is good but needs a tiny straighten on the door frame. I am one of those that can't stand wonky picture frames though so it may be just me!

No2 'Hint of potential menace', is spot on. Yes there is distortion but it made me look longer and added to the feel.

No4 As Gartmore suggests drop camera position. Also level the camera to control the diverging verticals of the two church ends to get them parallel. May mean you get a lot of grass but you can crop that out. Shots like this with lots of vertical lines can be difficult with a wide lens.

I like #2 an air of mystery, and #3 looks like something from the "Twilight Zone" yes I'm a fan As has been said it's a pity the top of the spire was clipped by the tree as I like the starkness of the tones.

I'm totally with David, Bob and Alan on this. I think #3 is fanstatic. Is it Salisbury Cathedral?

PS: Just read the addition about #3 being taken on a mobile phone. Oh dear, are these things are going to be death of proper cameras?

Number 3 is in your face, it's out there and should be a 40" print.
