For the budget you have I would be tempted to go for a second hand K-5IIs in mint condition, you have enough to buy one of these and a decent lens. There's one for sale on this Forum at present, I think it's £465.

If you are looking only for a new DSLR, then your suggestion is probably a good one.

Seriously, I think you can upload 1 image per day if you are not a paid up member, but unlimited if a full member. I'm not sure about the 30 days bit, I don't recall having to wait, but maybe one of the site mod's can help?

Thanks very much for your comments Carl, regarding the second image, I don't want to crop that one at all as I think the strength of it is the sky and the angle of the clouds that draw the eye into the lighthouse. To lose any of that sky would reduce the impact of the shot I think.
