Did you use a tripod or any other type of camera support?
I haven't used my TC much with the macro lens, must give it another try if we get any days when it's not windy.

Even if it is a fake, I like the idea of the mode dial being moved to the back!

It's a great shot, one that you would struggle to capture once in a blue moon, so for that reason I applaud it!!!

First up is one of the most useful of accessories for Macro or closer focussing in general; a Teleconverter with the full set of aperture contacts and the glass removed - hey presto an Auto Aperture Extension Tube. I'm asking £25 plus postage, the postage will be cheap on these as normal parcel post should be OK. Condition is good, the item works perfectly, has generic front / rear caps and its own little case.

Next up is a quality set of manual Chinon branded Extension Tubes - no aperture contacts on these but they have had the anodising scraped away on the mounts to ensure proper stop-down aperture use like a manual K mount lens. These are not your cheapo ebay / Amazon rubbish, they are high quality, precision machined items made in Japan and they will not get stuck on your camera. Good condition again, nothing to go wrong with these! I'm asking £15 plus postage, again postage should be pretty cheap.

Please PM me if interested and feel free to ask any questions if there's something you need to know.

I have noticed that my K-3 is a snappy focusser, noticeably quicker than other DSLR's I've owned, more so with some lenses than others. It has a more powerful screw drive motor which makes a real difference, not sure if the K50 shares this trait. With SDM the focussing speed is more dependent on the lens; the camera helps especially in low light if the camera's AF is particularly sensitive (which it is on the K-3), but the SDM motor in the lens and the focus throw of the lens are the deciding factors.

dirty blondes are two a penny
Not to throw any spanner in the works, Andrew, but haven't some folks found the K3 to be a little noisier at high ISOs than a K5? I mean, I don't know. Only saying...
A sincere and warm welcome back from me Drew, I can't say I am surprised but I am very happy to see you back. Are you going to sell or keep the Nikon gear?
