Congratulations to Bill Ward, Matt Emmett, Darrell Raw and Tom Stanier on being appointed as new K3 brand ambassadors.

Bill's work frequently appears on this site and his images are truly inspiring. Not sure what the remit is for these guys but if it helps to promote Pentax and sees more quality images coming our way then bring it on !

Well done chaps !

Nigel

I think you may have to sign up for the Ricoh news letter. I've tried posting a link but it keeps going back to my email about the news letter

Echoed from me, especially regarding Bill whose work I admire and whose support for this site in terms of posting images and contributing to the Forum has been excellent in the last couple of years.

Apologies, I made the mistake of getting the newsletter mixed up with the articles on the home page. I thought I'd read about this on the home page but it was actually on a newsletter article.

Don't look in the Gallery often, but just checked out Bill's portfolio. Some crackin' sea scapes. Being local I particularly like Roker Pier and both Bamburgh and Dunstanburgh in the snow.

Congratulations and very well deserved

Thanks all for kind and thoughtful words on this. Yes, am both surprised and delighted to be doing this. We've all been given a K3 + lens (I chose the 12 24) to play with, which should be great fun. Have been using a K5 up till now, which I've absolutely loved.

In return, we'll be sharing (and effectively licensing for Pentax/Ricoh use, although I keep the copyright) 6 images per month for 12 months, for use on social media, pr, exhibitions etc, to help illustrate (hopefully) what the camera can do in real world use. I think they're setting up a Microsite to display the images.

Really looking forward to it... Can't promise every one will be a belter (72 top drawer shots in a year is a fair few), but will do my damndest to keep the Quality Control as high as I can (whilst throwing in the odd curve ball I'm sure)...

Best
Bill

72 top drawer shots in a lifetime is a big ask, Bill, but if anyone can do it, you can.
Best wishes,

Andrew

Thingshtatihave seen is a respected member of this forum and his selection to be an ambassador a worthy choice. Are the other three guys members here by any chance?

PS Incidentally Bill, I believe you are Geordie-born yet you do convincing Manchester or Yorkshire accents in your TV soap appearances.
