It was a very grey day, not much chance for decent images. Even the 50 odd Canikon users where dissapointed.

There is a macro focussing teleconverter, it`s basicaly a teleconverter with a movable extension tube. I have one that has aperture control but not AF.

Not sure how an insurance company would react if the car got stolen. Think I would find somewhere to hide it in the room if no other alternatives available. Try removing the bottom drawer from a cabinet and putting your gear in the void below.

Seconded Peter, my only regret was that I did`nt have a decent camera when i went. One of the truly awsome places in the world.

Great shots galoot, i was there this summer, with my 16-45 could not get 1 decent phot ofthe state building.

Must disagree with you on this point Pete, the kit lens is as good as the manufacturer wants to make it, presumably Pentax knew they would be compared to other makes, this was their chance to get one over on Canikion, unfortunately they blew it, again.
It is not reasionable to expect comparrisons to be made with 3rd party lenses; it creates to many variables.
The odd thing is everyone knows that Pentax AF is slow compared to the competition, presumably Pentax know it as well. I am very happy with my K20, but then do not need fast AF in low light, if I did I would probably not have a Pentax.
