Isn't the Kenko DC 2x MC7 a teleconverter? i.e. it will double the focal length of the lens. See link to SRS website
OK that will halve the field of view at a given distance; I would not describe it a a Macro device though.
I have one of these and you should be aware that SDM lenses will not focus on it as it does not have the SDM contacts. (NB the Kenko DC 1.5x MC teleconverter DOES work with SDM)

There is a macro focussing teleconverter, it`s basicaly a teleconverter with a movable extension tube. I have one that has aperture control but not AF.Isn't the Kenko DC 2x MC7 a teleconverter?

What you wrote is the truth but i'm not searching a simple teleconverter like the one at SRS.
I'm searching a converter like this one

With this converter your "poor" 50mm becomes a 100mm Macro lens.
For example an A 50mm f1.7 becomes a 100mm f2.8 ( loses 2 stop of light ) .......
There is not a model with autofocus control ( impossible because the extension tube )

Ah I haven't met one of those before - sounds like Kenko is trying to confuse me by reusing model numbers!
Looks like a usful adaptor - if you can find one.

The one I have looks identical to the photo except for the knurling on the control ring. It doesn't have Kenko in its name. It is TELEPLUS 2X KAX Macro TELEPLUS MC7. Is this an earlier version of the Kenko? I have had it for a very long time. [It's NOT for sale] CHEERS Vic.
