Seems fair to me, however, in the tent photo the husband has allowed the female to steal a mat

Am thinking of changing my Tammy for a DA 55 - 300, think the IQ will be better at 300mm. The one thing I am not sure about is the close foccussing ability of the DA, any thoughts:

Apologies for the rant;

If I wanted to walk a long way I would`nt wear sandals, and if I wanted to see a long way i would`nt use a microscope. I am very happy with my Pentax gear, it does everything I want it to do, well. Other people have different needs, so the system they need will not be the same as mine. I do not have a problem with that. I also do not have a problem with talking about other camera systems; in comparison to Pentax, we do not live in a vaccuum. One day I might decide I need ISO 100,000 and 8 fps, if I do and I cannot find a Pentax to do it then I would have to buy another system. This does not make my current Pentax system bad, it is just different, Cannot find anything wrong with that. I have come across some extremely helpfull, knowledgeable, and inspirational people on this site, and as long as they compare Pentax to their other systems (positive or not) then I am quite happy to read their post`s. Sometimes it is interesting to know how the other side fares from a users point of view, instead of relying on magazines.

Davex,

Bottom line really is, if your confident you can set up a camera to take a Landscape shot without the need to turn the dial to the mountains icon then go for the K20D.
Totally agree with above. You will be able to grow into a K20, and if you get to the stage of needing more then the K7 will provide the upgrade, hopefully at a more reasionable price than now.
