Hi guys, just wondered what you thought of this pic I took yesterday.

Conditions were appaling to be honest, and the best way to salvage some quality was to convert to black and white and up the contrast.

I was after a New York-stlye skyline look, which i think I managed to achieve...

I agree - I like this and reckon its a much better image than the one I saw in the paper... The weather did look very grey...

I'm so glad you had trouble....in a nice sort of way.

I could only get there after dark and it was terrible. Got one or two which I might keep.
I much prefer yours though....fancy swapping?
Getting there! Thanks to you guys

Cheers guys, glad you like it. I've got two more here too, but the first is my favourite.

I was really in two minds to take the drive up after work, as the weather in Deeside at the time was atrocious - but I thought "sod it". as some of the best shots you see (in my opnion) are ones that go against convention. A lovely sunny, perfect day could be considered too boring by some.

About 80% of the shots I took did'nt make it though - waaay too windy - I need to learn to keep a steadier hand!)

Anyways, here are another two...

Ever hear of how the aboriginals felt when the european settlers turned up with all of their advanced technology?

That's how I'm feeling now!
I like all 3 of your pics.

I'll put mine up...for a laugh

I was going to ask that too. He must have been a little further towards New Brighton, actually, thinking about this, was it Seacombe Ferry?
HMS Invincible will be coming in today for 6 days. I'm hoping to get along and photograph that. If my guess is right, Bob's angle should also get the sunrise over the ship, ( if I can get out of my bed early enough on Saturday ).

Yes it was indeed Seacomb Ferry Terminal.

HMS Invincible you say.............VERY tempted myself......

When is it due to arrive? - just checked the Wirral Liverpool Waterfront Webcam and it does'nt appear to be there yet.

The one of the rear of the ship and its logo reminded me of:

"I work for Cunard."

"Well, I work hard too, there's no need for bad language!"

Purely for interest, here she is arriving today;

It was a very grey day, not much chance for decent images. Even the 50 odd Canikon users where dissapointed.
