The way these guys operate is such TV t they are simply a shop window for the owner.

When I've sold things through them they've rung me to say somebody is interested but not at the price, so if you see something you like, pick up the phone and see if there's any scope for a deal (but remember, they'll be taking their 25%, so there might not be much wriggle room.

They don't hand over the money to the owner until the returns period has lapsed, so you'll get no resistance if there's need for a return.

In terms of B&W, the Kentmere films can't be beaten for value, and I'm a big fan of the Kodak Tmax 400 too, and whilst I haven't tried it myself, I've heard good things about the JCH offering.

The beauty of film is that you can try them all over time, it's just a case of where to start; I must have shot a roll a month for the past three years, and I haven't shot more than two rolls of any one particular stock.

Autumn Colours for me - perfectly shows that little bit of magic that film can generate that digital can't quite copy.
