Iv`e carried a tripod for miles withought using it but when needed all those miles paled into insignificance. If you use the 2 second delay for still life shots the mirror raises first to allow the vibrations to die out before the shutter fires. I use very ancient Slik legs with a new ball head and it`s fine.

If it`s under warranty you ought to take it back to the retailer. Failing that try Johnsons Photopia ( Pentax Authorised Repairers ) Can`t be more helpful, sorry.

Hi Stefan, sorry to hear you are ailing! Trying to be positive can be tough on us men especially when there`s no one to share an illness with. No one around to keep rubbing in comments about "Man Flu" though.

Hope you recover soon.

As regular participants of this forum will know I (and others) has big issues with the IQ of the W80. I eventually after Pentax agreed a full refund bought a FT2. Anyway this was partly because I never heard back from Pentax, the last e mail I sent them was December 2009. GUESS WHAT? Iv`e just received an e mail from Hans Libbers (Pentax) to say that my problem would be forwarded to the Pentax head office.... it took seven months for a reply. Too late Pentax, much too late.

What a day! or two days. Mad thrash up to York on Friday afternoon, MAK (daughter) on the move again. This time from York to Hertfordshire, junior docs move each year so what ever you do next week DO NOT GO ILL. The whole countries supply of medics is on the move. Back home now in the far East, looking at the remains of a bottle of Strong Suffolk Vintage Ale, Nice! Worth all the efforts of the last couple of days. Shame it`s brewed by a big brewer `cos it`s not bad. I prefer ale from smaller brewers, guess it`s a hatred of the big bad wolf in what ever guise! Never mind though Wifey tries to buy me as many different types as she can.

Grandsons dropped by for a quick visit, they start school in 6 weeks. Lookout school! Ate all the Jaffa Cakes (other cakes are available) but didn`t look at the fig biscuits. Got this thing about fans at the moment, you know the go round and round things. They can`t seem to work out the relationship between the switch and getting a blast of moving air. They are at home now, so feet up and snooze time ready for me Sunday tea.

Find the debug mode on the web, download and then set to work with a focus chart. It`s a global adjustment but you believe you have a problem with both lenses then you ought to find it a help. I set my K10 t0 +200 and it`s fine for me. The K20 by the way has input for making alterations for up to 20 lenses.

You could try putting it in with the weekly wash without a lens on or don`t even think about digging around inside that area. If the image is ok then put up with the odd blemish in the viewfinder.
