Sorry - mine was also from deal extreme (not digital extreme as I said)

The DealExtreme one is the closer copy with metal lugs. I suspect the reference to weather sealing in the leaflet is because it apears to be a copy of the original Pentax leaflet.

I can't find the original post, but someone here mentioned a cheap K7 battery grip. Well I was intrigued and, at only $55 - ie one fifth of the price of the original - it seemed worth a punt. Well it arrived today and it seems well made and fits well on my K7 and does all the things it is supposed to do. It works with both 6xAA and a spare lithium battery It claims in the leaflet to be dustproof and water resistant, but I would be mildly skeptical as I can't see any seals.

Sold by Digital Extreme (from Hong Kong) - they have a fair few other bits and pieces too

I can recommend the Cosina/Vivitar 19-35. A bit plasticky but suprisingly good image quality

I too have the 18-250, and I have found it very useful when I want a one lens walkabout option. I find it pretty good even at 250 - it is better than my Sigma 70-300 APO Macro at its longest.

Ground Breaking noise reduction would have been useful when they were digging up the pavement outside the other day...

Formatt can be found at www.formatt.co.uk - I've had a hard and soft grad set of theirs for years and have been very happy with them. They fit the cokin P filter system, or you can buy their own system

Their prices look quite good in some cases: see here

They actually have adverts on this site (via Google)

Has a reputation for being fairly soft wide open but not unusable. DOF is rather narrow. I had the (optically identical) K version (unfortunately with fungus) some years ago and you had to be very careful with focus. Fun though
