(Actually I'll just console myself with the fact that it's probably unusable wide open.)

I hope it won't give you ulcers!

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

Might have known you owned one of my most coveted lenses. (I've lost even more sympathy with you now!)
Had a great afternoon on the Somerset Levels yesterday...sun even shone!
Best wishes,

Might I ask whereabouts on the levels?

Retired at last - now all that time for photography - you would think: wink:
In both series they would have been a rare lens. The K 50mm f1.4 would have been the standard 50mm in that series, in the A series the f2/1.7/1.4 would have sold in far greater numbers.
Shooting the Welsh Wilderness with K-m, KX, MX, ME Super and assorted lenses.
I think I saw an A 50mm f1.2 approaching £200 recently, I'd be amazed if anyone got the K series for much less.

wow,
I thought they were more!
If I'd find one for that price, I'd probably buy it straight away...
anybody selling ???
I got mine from ebay attached to the front of an ME, or was it an MG? The seller didn't know the lens was anything special but several people bid on it. The seller probably has an inflated idea now of how much his camera was worth! I had intended to sell it on for a small profit but it is such a lovely hunk of glass (and I mean a hunk, weighs a ton for a nifty fifty) I cannot bare to part with it.
There was a thread about these lenses a little while back where there was some disagreement as to whether wide open they were "painterly" or merely soft! Either way, by f/2 it is pretty sharp.
