This is one of the classic quality manual zoom lenses by Vivitar, highly regarded by many. Most of you probably know this page, but here's the link anyway to someone who collected a fair bit of information about them:

The one for sale is the version 3 made by Komine (S/N 28518158 ), which is a macro focusing zoom. It also is one of the newer versions with the A setting, which allows aperture control from the body. It's in very good condition, I'd say the optics are almost pristine, with only some hardly noticeable (when looking through it) tiny specks of dust. Smooth zoom and snappy iris, aperture clicks nicely into place too. Comes with original front cap and an Asahi Pentax rear cap.

Price: £75 including next day delivery. Please pm me if you have any questions.

I am just trying to reply to another forum member here, but it seems my message keeps on sitting in the outbox forever. Is that the message system or something on my side, does anyone know?

Cheers,
Wolf

I have a Samsung D-XENON 16-45mm F4 lens for sale, which is of course technically identical to the Pentax SMC DA 16-45mm f/4.0 ED/AL, including the Quick Shift function. (The only difference may or may not be the coating, which I honestly can't tell.) This lens is almost new - I received it from Samsung as a compensation for a repair job on a GX20 that had gone wrong about three weeks ago. I have taken some 50 pictures with it, so it can probably considered to be in mint condition.

Comes boxed, complete with original lens hood (not in pictures below but included). I am looking for £170 including next day delivery. Anyone interested or with further questions, please post here and/or PM me. Cheers!

I have a 50mm F1.4 SMC-M for sale, which I was planning to put up here first and then (maybe) on ebay. Last one I watched on ebay closed around £76 plus postage, so I was thinking of about £70 including next day delivery if paid via paypal gift. Do let me know if you're interested, cheers!

OK, taken. I'll give it a try even though I have a feeling the outcome might disturb me (not saying what I will put it on publicly )

PM sent.

I just bought one of these for £11 incl shipping from ebay:

First impression, it's great. Quite a bit longer than the Pentax strap (but can of course be adjusted), soft padding around the neck (very comfy and slightly stretchy too) and has quick locks which is really useful. Maximum usable length is about 150cm - works well for over-shoulder (across chest) use for me and I'm 6'4".

Thanks Mowog... well I certainly hope you're right, considering I got a bit carried away myself when I won the auction for it

Mowog, if you are a Vivitar connoisseur... I have a Vivitar Series 1 70-210mm F2.8-4.0 that I intend to sell. It's Komine made and a PK-A version, which not all of them are. Thought I'd let you know before it goes onto ebay.

Interested too... I'd take it if Leytono decides against. Chain, erm, ball free cash bidder here

Thanks
Wolf

Stefan, that's funny. I have had a user account on Deviantart for a long time, but never thought of actually uploading images myself.

I guess I am just using it to look at, erm, deviant art
