I have a spare one here on my desk, bought in September, charged once but never used. (Had a GX20 that died in an accident before I could ever really use it, Samsung tried their best to repair it but it was beyound hope ).

It says 7.2V 1500mAh on it. I think I paid £9 from ebay. If anyone wants it for a few quid to cover postage and me walking through the rain to the post office let me know.

Pietrach,
Thanks for your offer. I'd be prepared to meet you in the middle if you can use Paypal gift - that would be £205 shipped and I'd throw in a Transcend 2Gb SD card 133x. Please PM me if you are interested.
Many thanks
Wolf

I have a K100D Super which I was just about to offer here and/or on ebay. It's in very good condition, no blemishes or scratches that I could discover, and of course in excellent working order. I had it for almost 2 years from new, and it has about 5,000 shutter actuations, which I believe is very little. I am about to head out but could send or put up pictures later.

I don't have the kit lens anymore, as I sold it when I bought a replacement covering the same range, but I can add the 18-55 DA-L lens that came with my new K-x, which I believe is a little sharper than the original kit lens. Alternatively, I also have a Tamron 18-250mm F3.5-6.3 for sale.

Pricewise, I'd be looking at £230 including special delivery for the K100D w/18-55 DA-L and about the same for the Tamron 18-250mm, which is a tad below recent going rates in ebay auctions for these items. Let me know if you're interested.

I came across this offer at WaltersPhotoVideo, who say on their website that they are a Pentax Pro Centre:

http://www.waltersphotovideo.co.uk/products/pentax-smc-da-12-24mm-f4-ed/7385/

I am sooo tempted myself but the budget has been stretched a little so for now I have to give it a miss But maybe it's interesting for others on here

Please Please Please Pentax, start making these lenses again, you cannot find them anywhere. I know that the 55mm DA* has the "equivilent" field of view as the 85mm on APS-C, but I want an 85mm, not a 55mm!
There is currently a used one on offer here:

for CAD 1100

Thanks for your inputs Gentlemen

John, you pinpointed it, there's a feeling of joy from these images. I guess I might try the DA21 one day, if I have the chance. I also like the idea of the 12-14mm but wonder if it can deliver this particular and quite addictive quality that my first limited has. Ah well... I'd better start saving up

... because it is so bloody unbelievably amazing! I snapped one up at a very decent price from Jacobs recently, as a treat for my Kx, and the combination of those two is just utterly stunning - the sharpness, the dimensionality and depth, the colours... almost every picture that I spent at least a tiny bit of composition effort in is just a plain pleasure to look at. Like this:

(In full resolution, it is so sharp it seems to jump out of the monitor. I guess I was lucky that this lens works perfectly with my Kx without back or front focsuing.)

BUT... now I feel the growing need for something similar in wide angle! And I can't find anything from Pentax OK, there is the FA31 but I would ideally need 24mm or wider. Yes, there's the DA21 but I find the F3.2 maximum a bit disappointing.

There's a Sigma 18mm F1.8 - does anyone have first hand experience how it stands up the the FA limiteds? Or any better suggestions? It has to be an AF lens - for manual I do have a rather interesting Vivitar 24mm F2 already.

Hm, I think the camera has repaired itself miraculously . Sorry if my joking wasn't obvious... I should have added some winks

But seriously... since I only have a lowly K-x, it falls upon all you K20D and K7 owners with your posh weather seals to go out and shoot in the snowstorms. It's your holy duty as Pentaxians! Out with you, and don't come back with at least a hundred shots!

Greytop, that's a brilliant idea! If nothing else it should at least reduce the camera shake

Pete, it is indeed near Archway, just a little up the hill next too Waterlow park. Not sure why it is falling over... it could be the noise... or the fact that I started the day with too much alcohol. (Just so there is no misunderstanding: that would be my aftershave )
