Hi - I've been getting to know my sigma DG 150 -500mm APO HSM lens for a little over a year now and I just cannot get sharp pics with it and the bokeh is horrid. I get better results with my old glass Pentax 80-320mm and cropping (this lens can be very sharp!). Are there some dough ones out there or are my expectations just too high for the sigma! - I shoot with a K5iis.

Any tips/advice gratefully received.

if you are looking for a lens with maximum reach for under £100 I would go for Pentax FA 80-320mm - you can pick up a good copy for about £80 off ebay. You will be very surprised by the results. See:

Hi - can anyone advise on the following. Is the Samsung SA 1:4 16-45mm ED AL d67mm exactly the same as the smc PENTAX-DA 1:4 16-45mm ED AL?

Thanks for everyones feedback - I like the suggestion to make more of her ears (they are her main feature!) and also lighten her eyes. I did this in a basic windows 7 programme - so will need to get to grips with something a bit more sophisticated to take it to the next level.

I think I will decide what is constructive for me. I have not posted a photo. I have been diligent in asking what the protocols were, followed that advice and then tried to get some feedback from some folk who I know (even if only virtually), on a photographic PP technique.

As far as I am concerned this topic is now closed.
