Thanks Ken but if I post the image on the site I will be going against protocol as the picture was not taken with a pentax camera!

I have just done some work on an old image from last year of my dog and managed to create a nice portrait with a feel of painted mountains behind her. Unfortunately it was not taken on a Pentax so cannot post in the gallery but I would still appreciate some feedback - I've been looking at it for too long and cannot decide whether it is over cooked or not. You can view it here Comment Image
- (unfortunately only small size). I would appreciate any constructive criticism.

I tried taking a photo of it on the screen but the pixilation of the screen spoils it as opposed to adding to the creative process, never mind. Here is a link Comment Image
but the size is small with poor resolution - it looked really good large in the PU gallery - enjoy!

Thanks for that - I do understand so won't break the T&Cs - I'll try taking a photo of the image with my Pentax and if I like it presumably I can post that version - who knows that might add to the creative process!

Thanks

Stephen

Hi - I've have just done some PP on an old photo. I was pleased with the result so wanted to share in the gallery - but then realised it was not taken with a Pentax so took it down(I had brief flirtation with Sony before I saw the light early last year!! ) - is it an absolute no no to put a photo in my portfolio which was not taken on a Pentax? -please advise!

Thanks

Stephen

Most expensive pint I have ever had was in Norway - no lenses were harmed though.

Thanks John - I am now more knowledgeable than I was at 17.26 today!

Thanks for all the feedback folks - me thinks I'll keep them both!

Thanks John - that is good advice, I evidently still have a bit of exploring to with the 1.7 - as ever I am learning - "flatter field" could you elaborate - do you mean less depth of field?

Having been buying a lot of old glass, things are now settling and I think it is time to sell some bits as I find my various keepers. I have copies of both pentax M1.7 50mm, M1.4 50mm - obviously I am minded to keep the 1.4 but I am wondering what 1.7 has over the 1.4, if anything, before I decide sell it - any advice gratefully received.
