As above for me too. I try clearing out duplicates, bracketing shots, obvious rubbish shots but its pretty soul destroying. So I bought a 1Tb drive a few months back, on offer for £39 from Currys. At the moment everything is going on there and 4500 photos has barely scratched it.
I agree with Russ - I (try!!) to clear out duplicates and the obvious rubbish, the rest I keep. Storage is so cheap, and as both John and Smeggy infer - you never know what will be valuable one day; and it's amazing the value that historians get from yesterday's rubbish!

I saw quite a few educated and cultured people (sorry - I mean Pentax users) in Dubrovnik when I was there recently. Admittedly they were significantly outnumbered by the massed hoards of the Canikons, but there were more Pentax users there than anywhere else I have been recently.

Also all types of Pentaxes were in evidence, from several old 35mm cameras including an MX, an ME Super and what looked like a K1000 (but I could be wrong on that one) through to the modern DSLRs (K-r, K30 and K5 variants) and even a couple of Pentax compacts.

There were also far more Sony DSLRs than I have ever seen in one place before - could there be a connection?

David - HELP!!

A lovely set - I particularly like "Two" and "Blue and Gold", but do you know the proper name of the flower in Donkey's Ears? We have it as "weeds" in our garden and I love the flowers, but have completely failed to identify it.

A lovely set, it makes a change to see the beauty of Surrey showcased.

However, while I don't want to nit-pick - but didn't you miss the "e" off the end of Whyteleafe?

Thanks for the comments.

Nigel - I think that you're right, I should have maximised the DoF, Oh well - next time!

An early attempt at HDR using PSE10. Part of the rigging on the Cutty Sark on a sunny day in April. Taken on K-r and a (very old) Vivitar 28mm F2.8

I took this at the weekend with a deliberately shallow DoF - comments on the approach appreciated. Taken with K-r & Tamron SP90 at F2.8.

I like No.1 as the "natural" image and No.2 as the "impressionistic" one. Either way, my inclination would have been to move the grass, unless as Martun noted it masked a flaw in the flower. I don't like the B&W version - I doesn't work for me.

Two lovely images - I particularly like the way that you have used a double boarder on the second.
