Thanks for the steer - I've googled images of the 27 and that's what it looks like.

Stan - that's a well known mnemonic (and often true), but this one started first time, and after all the correct number of cylinders joined in the fun, it sounded pretty good too as it pulled away.

I saw this old Lotus single seat racer at a recent classic day at Silverstone - can anyone identify it?
Thanks in advance
Phil

I use an acid free tape and "hinge" the top of the photo to the back of the mount , i.e. 2 small bits of tape to position the photo behind the hole in the mount and then add a couple of longer pieces to act as a hinge at the top. The rest of the photo then hangs from the hinge. I then add a backing card over the lot.

I don't know whether this is the "best" way, but the result look OK to me (subject to me having cut the hole in the mount card accurately in the first place!)

I have an older Epson R200 and sometimes get the same problem when using "compatible" inks, i.e. not Epson OEM. I get around it by switching the printer On and Off, and then checking the inks levels via the "Status Monitor". So far, that has always worked.

My Epson 800 has stopped printing. The ink empty light is on and I know that only one ink. (the cyan) is empty but when I press the button to find which is empty it goes to each ink in turn and shows all as empty. (hence not printing) Has anyone had this problem? Is it the printer or is it my PC? Can anyone help.
CHEERS Vic.

For me, the best bit in all versions are the boards as in No 2 - they have a sense of texture/"sense of feel" about them which I think is great.

I have an old Vivitar 70 - 200 F3.8 Macro Focussing lens, the serial number start 42xxxxxx, that I bought in the 1970s to go on my ME. If it helps - the filter size is 58mm. I've struggled to find out anything about this lens on the various forums, and it's not even listed in a lot of the catalogues.

Can anyone enlighten me?
Are you sure it isn't the 75-205 f/3.8 as I've had one in the early days complete with matched multiplier.
No - it's definitely a 70-200. The serial number would indicate that it was made for Vivitar by Bauer, but that's all i can find out

I've found lots on the 70-150, but not the 70-200. My Google search returns a couple examples sold on E-bay auctions and a request for info for a Nikon mount version on DP Review - nothing of substance on the 70 - 200.
