Riddlesdown

A long strip of forested high ground, with the Kenley valley below, this lovely spot seems to be more commonly frequented by dog walkers than landscape photographers (judging from the odd looks I was getting as I was spotted lurking under the overhanging trees). But I didn't care - a great combination of dense growth and a glorious long sunny night transformed me into a man on a mission!

All shot on the K7, a mixture of 14mm Samyang f2.8 and 28mm Pentax 'A' f2.8, all shot between f8.0 & f13. Tripod with mirror up and remote control.

At the end of the ridge walk there is this basin where the Caterham & Kenley valleys meet, a place called Whyteleaf. This is a park and sportsground.

Very nice too Nigel. Particularly good use of the overhanging stuff for #1 & 3.

A lovely set, it makes a change to see the beauty of Surrey showcased.

However, while I don't want to nit-pick - but didn't you miss the "e" off the end of Whyteleafe?

You got me there !! I've lived around here for 2 years, and that name always seem to elude me. Must remember, 2 e's

There's certainly many pretty spots to explore nearby - and all right on the border of Croydon & Surrey, travelcard zone 6!
