Not advisable to put a front filter on as you've only got a starting point of f8 putting anything on the front will mean you will only be able to use it in very bright sunlight or you will lose at least 1 stop, my recommendation fwiw...be careful with it instead

NikontoPentax don't jump ship quite yet, get your K-5 replaced at SRS and you will be overjoyed. I have a K-7 and if the opportunity arose I would not hesitate to buy.

For panoramas try Microsoft ICE simple to use, just drop the images you want onto it and away it goes, and more importantly ..... it's free.

What fit is it i.e M42 screw thread? Maybe a photo of the mount would enable someone on here to identify it for you.

Get a set of tubes (or two) with contacts instead that way you can control the lens from the camera.

Thanks all it was great to get some recognition. Gareth we still have three nights left: 20th - Annual show of prints and projected images, 27th - AGM and 4th June - Barrian Cup and Dave Cowdry Trophy (I don't know either). Then we reconvene in September I think,
