I had the same thing happen to me a while back. I was, like yourself, fiddling in the menus and found that one too and thought that's a good idea we'll have some of that. The next time I was at the karting my burst mode was like a three toed sloth...with rickets! Luckily I realised it had occurred after fiddling and retraced my steps, switched it off and made a mental note to leave it off in future as distortion can be corrected in PP.

I can't see any reason why whacking the 35mm on some tubes wouldn't work, and, if you can, get some with contacts and you can still control the lens from the camera. That way you have no additional glass to diminish the IQ.

Also make sure Enable Aperture Ring is on in your cameras menu

Lovely shots Vern, I also agree with Mike on the sharpening. Number 8 for me I love the expression on the gannet's face, I would crop the left side off to get rid of the blurred flower? it would give it a nice squared look and put the bird on the thirds. BTW what lens was it?
