For Charlotte to enjoy, and others if they wish
all taken with the DA*16-50 at f16 set on bulb plus tripod and IR remote. Cropped and blacks pushed up in LR3 (it helps to get rid of the smoke) but no other editing.

I once had a venison burger at the Royal Show, well it was hardly a burger, more like a steak in a bun, it was very tasty.

Nicely done, an image that draws you back for another look.

Had a walk around Margam Park with an old friend to see if we could photograph some deer. We got lucky...
(all taken with my new (to me) Sigma 70-200 f2.8 macro II on a Kenko 2x TC)

This is getting ridiculous, will everyone please stop doing the "British" thing and putting everything down. Whenever we get anything good we want to drag it down or knock it off its pedestal!
I'll wager all camera manufacturers get just as many issues with their equipment as Pentax do. I've got a K-7, its AF is not as good as I'd like and its noise level is not great but in the (just shy of) 2 years I've had it I have taken in excess of 60,000 photos (mostly rubbish but I'm learning) and it has never let me down. It puts up with all kinds of weather and every time I pull it out of the bag it works without fail, every time, when the Canon & Nikon shooters at my local kart track are running for cover because of a little precipitation I'm still there getting shots like this.
Pentax make some great cameras so let's stop dwelling on the bad news because I'll bet that for every disappointed user there are 1000 happy ones and I for one count myself in the latter group.

I spend all day 9-5 or 6 taking up to 800 pictures at my local karting track and normally only need to swap the battery for the last 1/2 to 1 hour. The SR is left on all day. So I'd say no

Sigma 10-20
DA* 16-50 check
Sigma 70-200 macro II check
Sigma 150-500 (next)
Sigma 180 macro check
Pentax A 50mm f1.7 (and tubes) check
DA35 f2.4

I'd be happy then, but then I would probaably want to close the gap between 50 and 70 .... a nice DA*50-135 would fit nicely in there

I have just bought the Sigma 610 from SRS as it was offered at only £125 is the Pentax a better flash?
