Forgive me sounding daft, but what's the attraction? I can see it says Pentax on it, and is tilt and swivel, but isn't it effectively a manual flash on DSLR, without PTTL? Presumably it can't act as a remote slave either?

Yes, it's a totally manual flash where modern Pentax DSLR's are concerned. It has no auto modes and not even the slave function works as it should because of the pre-flash from a DSLR.
It is however a powerful flash with controllable output, and it has a strobe function.
Used as a portable flash together with a radio trigger, it's awesome.
PS: I think we can expect to be told off shortly as we are not allowed to have these product discussions in Clssified Adverts Forum.

This question isn't possible to answer, without knowing what you want to use it for.I have just bought the Sigma 610 from SRS as it was offered at only £125 is the Pentax a better flash?
If you want P-TTL, no. If you want a powerful, controllable, manual flash, with the ability to create strobe effects, yes.
See Mannesty's post above, it's as good a summary as you'll find.

At the risk of being told off I find PTTL sucks and prefer using manual anyway. I got one of these and often use it in preference to my AF360.
