they were intended to provoke others into having a go (there must be hundreds of us who have tubes but haven't used then with portrait lenses)
I've been playing around with a tube on a 28mm, but now I will be trying it/them out on my 50 and 135! Thanks for the provocation!

A very nice set of images, I very much appreciate your sense of observation. 4 is the standout for me, there's something delicatley ghost-like in there.

Couldn't have put it better. Great shot.

Lovely portraits there, Alistair, you choose your subjects well.

3 & 4 are the ones that leave more to my imagination, so they get my vote. Going out with just one prime is the norm for me (the only times I bring two primes is for shooting live music - which I only do if I know the performers or the venue, and preferably during rehearsals or soundchecks). Even when vacationing I only take my M28/3.5... seems to do everything I need...

A very nice visual treat. I prefer the darker version, more mystery, as Steve said above.

Great rendering throughout, I really like 3, 4 and 7. Tubes are fun, as I have been discovering recently.

I walked into my local camera store in France last thursday to see if they had any idea what the cost would be to repair my K-01 (shutter sticks closed after almost every shot, I have to turn it off/on to get it to open). They told me about this three-day offer from Pentax starting the next day, and that they would throw in a 5-year warranty. The manager said it was part of their 100th anniversary celebration. So I'm out 499€, but will receive a brand-new K-70 on thursday (they were out of stock, but managed to secure one from the rep)!

The KP was 649€, but that was stretching the budget - I mean, what's left of it after having recently acquired a Telecaster Thinline and a Koch Jupiter amp...

Worldwide weekend deal, I think?

Number 12 is the standout for me, quite a dynamic colour-based composition, keeps your eyes moving all around. Great job there, Joe.

Good set, Rick, I particularly like 4 and 5, with the empty fairground attractions really bringing out the desolate nature of the place at the time you were there. Also like the last one, a very well structured photo.
