What's a "snoot bag" is it an OZ thing?
Its one of these link
I think snoot bag is a universal term but I have heard it called a snout bag.
No it's not Clarky,
In the UK, and on the Lowepro website, they are called Top Loaders.

I have a Lowepro Cirrus TLZ25(TOP LOADER ZOOM 25),I can fit my K20D with either the SMC DA 18-55 II, or with the SMC DA 55-300, all you do is reverse mount the lens hood on the 55-300.
This bag will not take the camera and the battery grip attached!
Hope this is of use,
regards,
Peter.

Snow on the mountain top, with the volcano beneath.Lol.

Many a fine tune is played on an old fiddle!

One wonders if the ladies will join this poll, me thinks not?

Can anybody explain why I am being bombarded with jessops ads on the right hand side? It seems a bit odd, I am on a Pentax forum, so presumably am interested in Pentax, but cannot buy Pentax at Jessops.
Not the best of targeted advertising.
Dave.
It all comes down to money, and guess who has paid for advertising space!

I've had a thought. If I had unlimited funds I'd have a special edition made of the K20D, specially engraved, in a nice wooden box with a certificate of authenticity...and present one to all my friends.

Pretentious? Moi?
I hope I'm a friend John?

At the risk of causing a strong debate with this question....

I'm going to have a bit more spare cash in a few months (still recovering from my K20D and lenses spree!), and I'm seriously considering buying a 35mm body to play with.

I've never really played with film (other than as a kid/teenager having a small compact and disposables - just for fun without any serious thoughts about photograpghy).

My love of photography began with my first digital camera 8 years ago and not having to worry about developing film and having freedom to shoot anything.

Now my knowledge of photography has completely exploded and that i'm quite happy with using a DSLR manually - I think the time is ripe to consider 35mm film - and to boost my lens collection a bit at the same time, with some great second hand 35mm lenses.

Of course this is a field I know NOTHING about, just after some thoughts really - firstly of course what body do you guys recommend? And I suppose I need to have a bit of an idea about film too....

Hope you dont mind the vaugueness of this!
One where the shutter works, not like my MZ7!

What on earth are "Dubbed" tyres, never heard of such things?
Tyres with small steel dubs (a houndred per wheel). Wonderful to grip on icy roads. However, due to environmental problems (creating tar dust on dry roads, and extra wear on the tarmac), we are encouraged to switch to dub-free tyres. And believe me, the special soft-rubbered winter tyres provide exceptional good grip on slippery roads.
Oh we call those Ice tyres, I don't think they're available in the UK, and the price would be prohibitive anyway!

Peter.
