Have a look here for the 15-30mm link

"Pentax FA 15-30mm f2.8 ED SDM WR

This lens doesn't have its own Adaptor, however the Tamron 15-30mmm Adaptor fits perfectly.
"

Best regards
Oh, right, that's great thanks.

Strewth, and I thought chemical processing was complicated!

I am still waiting to find a really good alternative to the 24-70 f2.8 FA lens for wide angle landscape. Neither the 15-30 f2.8 nor the 31mm prime can take square filters and there isn't anything wider than 24mm from Sigma nor Tamron as far as I can tell. At the other end of the scale I am considering the 200mm prime rather than the 70-200mm f2.8 zoom as it is lighter and cheaper, and pleased to see that it is fully operational in FF.

For fun try The Sensor Noise DB on www.brendandaveyphotography.com. With the drop-down menu you can compare different models; the K-1 betters the likes of Nikon D810 and Canon 5DS by a long way and stands up well against low light specialist the Nikon D4.

Unlike Sony, Pentax has never been a video brand. If video is your thing then you would gravitate to manufacturers with a similar interest; Ricoh have clearly identified the core strengths of the Pentax brand and sought to develop on that in product development and marketing, with a unique edge in weather-resistance and robustness across the range. Maybe they will surprise us one day but I really like what they are doing for the high quality stills market.

As I said before, the skill of this photo is in the gamut of interpretations that could be read into it; I would prefer not to have known the true context. The blonde's concentrated expression and gentle touch with her hand implies an intimacy which could be read as adoration whilst the other girl by contrast is indifferent. Are they lovers? sisters? Or am I alone in this?

That is a beautiful and intriguing portrait, invoking all manner of interpretations. Mine is that the blonde is checking the other girl's eye after punching her - note the bruising on her hand!

As I understand it Tony did not touch on the hyper program function and use of the green button. Is that right because that is quite an omission and would make this a more camera dedicated tutorial rather than a basic dslr course for someone who happens to have a K-1 in hand.
I use this green button almost all the time now on manual setting, and adjusting manually is much easier than fiddling about with exposure compensation. The only time I use an auto setting now is TAV when grabbing quick shots of activity or wildlife.

Yes, but who would know (if I hadn't said?!)
How do we know you didn't find the ex-mole on the lawn and stuff it in a hole for it's immortal pose?!

Just a thought, did you put anything on the lawn which might have affected it or it's food, like lawn sand?
A: Because I photographed it running round digging up worms and finding plenty (see OP.) I have another 72+ pictures along with that one! It is uncommon to see them in daylight so its behaviour wasn't natural.

B: On day 2 it was a dead mole on the lawn and I did do as you suggest for posterity - I said so in the comment along with the photo!
With regard to chemicals I do not use them, certainly no lawn sand or feed the weeds fertilizer but I cannot speak about neighbours. I don't think my garden can have been its regular home as we haven't had mole hills for several years.
I happened to be in a museum yesterday who had a mole on display in their natural history section. I suspect that one had passed away at least several years ago!
As with the museum, one has to make most of opportunities. To get that photo for real would be nigh on impossible as even then I had to take several to get it right. Maybe one of those PIR cameras might have captured a similar photo for real but somehow it wouldn't have the quality of using a K-1 and having a PIR camera I often find the subject gone before the camera fires. It has captured badger shots which is why I bought one as I did suspect a badger was visiting and wanted to find out for sure.
PIR badger videos:

But that PIR camera couldn't focus close enough for the mole shot. It would have been tiny as in this wood mouse capture:

I was speaking with my tongue firmly in my cheek, I wasn't seriously suggesting you had faked the final photo! I remember as a lad finding a dead mole and taking it to the biology lesson in school, only for dozens of maggots to start crawling out over the desk! These are really nice photos and well done for taking the opportunity.
