Great shots Mike - number 1 shows the heat haze well and the colour and contrast in number 9 is very good. The Bigma looks to be a sharp lens.

I'm going to be borrowing a Sigma 150-500 for a few weeks soon, I wonder if that will be as good?

What airfield did you see the Reds at out of interest?

I want one of these as well and will probably p/x my K20 and grip to help towards the funding...most of the functions mentioned such as improved frames per second and the automatic horizon are particularly appealing to me. I am determined to hold out until they offer cashback but I wonder how long my willpower will last

AP has published its First Look at the K7 - I've just finished reading it.

I suppose stung by accusations of Canon/Nikon bias, the wording of the article is so neutral and carefully worded that I could imagine I almost felt the pain of the writer. Poor Angela was given this task, but she does survive it fairly intact!

I think, but I could be wrong, that she likes the K7...
My copy arrived yesterday morning and having read it I thought exactly the same as John, I think she actually likes this camera!

Nice and sharp image, nicely exposed, good shot . I like the way that you've got just enough sky at the top of the frame with the dramatic background.

didn't sound like 3 frames a second from the k20 to me, he must of had it on low con shooting not high,
Scott, that was 3 FPS, I know that sound so well now and can time it in my mind . Can't forget the day I was in the hide waiting for the kingfishers and the Nikon D90 guy was next to me, there was another Nikon guy on my right also and the moment we all fired at the same time the K20 was notably slower, by far in fact.
So if the new body comes with this improved it certainly is a step in the right direction.
Amin that is exactly the point I was making yesterday when I was at Duxford on Sunday and noticed how far behind the rest the K20 was. I shouldn't have watched that video...

I can see a K20 being exchanged for one of these in the near future

In Spanish but half way through he comapres the K20D fps with the new K-7.
I thought the K-7 sounded slow until he fired up the K20D.
I've just had a look at this and it is very impressive, this would do me nicely for my airshows and so much quicker than the K20.

I'm going to wait though until Chris has some in stock before I commit myself, I'd like to have a look at one in the flesh and have a proper feel of it.

I also went to Duxford last Friday to see some of the participating aircraft practice and took almost as many as a normal airshow That's probably worth another thread on it's own and there were some different ones there that would feature in our new aircraft recognition competition I seem to have started

The next show at DX is Flying Legends which is 11-12th July and the Friday before (weather permitting) is reported to be another cheap airshow as it is the main practice day...as it happens it's a rest day for me so guess where I'll be heading
