You have managed to purchase one of the most underrated DSLR cameras ever made, its build quality surpasses all of its so called rivals and you'll find its handling ability, once you have familiarized yourself with its capabilities, outstanding.

If you don't mind manually focusing and you are after a quality optical lens, Pentax made exceptionally high quality lenses before digital came along, you'll be amazed at how little you can pick up an f1.4 (fast) manual focus on eBay, but be quick the price of glass is rising and it looks like people are catching on, unlike our national rugby team.

They appear to be better in black & white as the definition at ground level in colour is lost!

Well SRS did it for me again, just been delivered my new Sigma 150-500mm and its big and its all mine.
I now require a pack horse to carry my kit
Taken a couple of shots out of the window about 120feet away hand held i can see clearly the screw slot on a screw, even where it was slightly "chewed" So far very impressed.
Well done Chris (SRS)
Use the wife as the pack horse Richard, like I do.

Well FishFace, you have achieved more than I have, I cannot get the hang of posting to this forum and I am what they call an experienced photographer. Your "snow covered log" is good, try not to get bogged down in "Post Processing"! get the image right in the camera in the first place and you are there. Just remember, film speed (ISO setting on camera), aperture, (very important, play around with this) very effective and shutter speed. If you are going to photograph reflective surfaces, glass water etc, treat yourself to a circular polarizing filter. Buy the filter to fit your largest diameter lens and then purchase stepping rings (£4.50), that way you only need one polarizer and use the stepping rings to fit all/any other lenses you may have. Good luck, get out there and take photographs.
Regards,
Rees

Hi, I am having some difficulty posting an image to this forum, although I think I am following this instruction:
Hello Ken, I to have tried to post, but have now given up.
Rees.

Now come to this forum and click in the message box so you get the flashing cursor. For some hosting services click the "Img" tag shown above the message box. Paste (Ctrl +V) the URL. Click the "Img*" tag again. This is simplified with Photobucket, and you only need to paste as Photobucket inserts the Img tags automatically - they are already included in the URL.

Host is FLICKR.COM

Any ideas

Many Thanks

Bob, I feel the first image is a little on the dark side, could you lighten and repost?
