One question remains: What brought on that 4" gash?
Prieni
The top of my scalp met the kebab shops metal window frame as I tripped over raised pavement yesterday morning.. Incredibly, my K20 and battery grip which was around my neck with one arm through strap - SURVIVED!which was a huge relief after I was announced OK. I think thats why the head copped it, was too intent on cradling K20!!!

1. sky - looks odd somehow and I think there is more to get from this sky.
2. lamp post - it's too prominent. I think cloning out is the only option.
3. car in the left background - I don't like that it is cut through the bonnet.
4. car on the right - for my taste there should be a little less of it.
5. the slight inclination of the roof - but maybe that's good?
But it is a great picture and I like it. The girl is great (and I love that shadow - would make a wonderful picture taken from top) and the toning and tinting works very well (apart from the sky).

my experience of this is quite limited (though the Macau GP 2007 was an excellent first opportunity).
#1 looks a bit too static, #2 is the best of the crop IMHO. #4 is nearly as good but the slight tilt gives #2 a more dynamic feel.
Can't get my head around #3, it's nice to have only the one car sharp but the other cars have an unpleasant kind of 'unsharpness' to them. Was that also result of panning?
Of course I'm delighted to see a German driver in the Formula 3 car
I think you have done very well and I bet you had a lot of fun.

Better start moving this fortnight...

Mikew, I know what you mean. I think this is because of the canvas-like stuff the screens are made of. Here is a crop of a downsized (3000 x 2000) jpg of the first one (I was used to that size with my *istD and now store the JPG's of the K20 at that resolution as well):

This shows that they are sharp. But I agree that they not all look sharp

Brilliant series.
#1: So fragile they look, wonderful texture.
#2: Cunning composition, works a treat for me.
#3: For me the weakest of the four (but still a good shot).
#4: Excellent. The composition does it here. I doubt that cropping it will make it better.

I think you don't need to make them as straight as possible, on the contrary, the diagonal does give a more dynamic feel.
I just had a look through my tally from the Macau GP and yours are much better. I was sitting at a corner, good for watching some action as the cars are (relatively) slow but the space was tight.
Here is one of them:

I hope you don't mind me posting in your thread.
The angle is less favourable than in your shots. There is a little bit of speed felt by the blur in the wheels but no comparison to the speed in your pics.
